cast glass, lost wax method
My love of flora and fauna is the inspiration for my sculpture. The name ‘Fragility’ is meaning ‘the quality or state of easily being broken or destroyed.’ This work carries the narrative of a New Zealand Skink in the forest, it has been attacked by a predator and is losing part of its tail. The Skink survives on food like berries, nuts, and worms, it is sitting on a rock eating it’s worm before any other creature can get to it.
