Karin Barr

Barr enjoys using cast glass alongside various materials to create minimalist forms which are inspired by the Bauhaus movement and convey a sense of play.

Most of Barr's works shows clear and strong lines. With minimal manipulations, she creates abstract figures showing true human qualities. Her installations are often a response to different sites and environmental concerns. Karin's work is held in the Wallace Arts Trust in New Zealand and other private collections nationally and internationally. Karin welcomes studio visits at her Tauhei, Morrinsville studio by appointment.
