Jenny Judge

Jenny is a New Zealand/Canadian artist who creates craft-based installations incorporating Kiln-Cast and Pate-de-Verre glass with other elements such as fibre, ceramics, plaster, paint, writing and film. She also investigates the "Object" as a site for story and memory.

Jenny’s formal artistic career started in the 1980s when she completed a BFA in sculpture at Queens University (Canada) and then attended the Banff School of Fine Art for a winter cycle in the Fibre Art Department. She received an MFA in sculpture from The University of Minnesota, USA in 1991.
She learned the art of kiln-cast glass while living in New Zealand for eight years until 2015, and has attended workshops at the Pilchuck Glass School, Corning Museum of Glass Studio, Pittsburgh Glass Centre, and Bullseye Glass to increase her skills and conceptual thinking.
Her group exhibitions include The Cheongju International Craft Exhibition (South Korea 2009) Ranamok Glass finalist (Australia 2011) ‘Embracing Innovation, volume 6’ at Craft ACT in Canberra (Australia 2016), The Ireland Glass Biennale (2019-2020), the Korean International Ceramics Biennale (2021-22), and several solo exhibitions in New Zealand and Canada.
