Dessa Bluu
Glass is a conduit of ancestral light, holding memory in its edges and stories in its transparency. For Dessa, it's more than ornamentation; it's become a tactile narrative of identity.
Based in the Coromandel and guided by her upbringing in Ponsonby and Grey Lynn, Dessa's creative practice honours resistance, beauty and renewal. Her works echo landscapes, people and cultural histories, composed in a way that reflect her Pasifika worldview.
Through glass, Dessa proudly reclaims mosaic as both culturally resonant and evocative; a vessel where presence is as deliberate as absence.
