Bindi Nimmo

I couldn’t imagine my life without the wonder of colour, and I believe that is one of the things that has always fuelled my creativity. The harmony of colours working together and the story they tell is important to me also.

Most of the creativity I admire and take inspiration from is somewhat obscure, otherworldly, or organic form. I enjoy the unpredictable nature of glass and the fine dance between you being in control versus the glass being in control. I have enjoyed the creative processes of casting and mold making but I treasure time spent in the hot shop. The path that I wish to take with my art is to allow my audience to always feel something - I hope to create curious pieces that prompt a connection or spark conversation. My goal right now is to continue to absorb all the knowledge that I can surrounding glass for me to blossom in this medium.
